Old field stone wall, plowed to the uphill side, rough pasture to the down hill side.
This was taken in January….if I went to take this picture today, I would need snowshoes and the wall would be buried!

i love the fact that you walk with such awareness and bring so much thought to all you experience. The world is a fascinating and beautiful place to people who are open to its nuances.Everywhere there are stories etched out on the earth just waiting for us to read them.
Wow — you have that much snow right now. The birds seemed to all be singing in chorus on Sunday when we opened our front door, and I’m hoping it really is Spring. Our winter has, intermittently, been mild, but around this time of year, I get winter-weary and yearn for Spring!
I’m very ready for spring, especially since it had just started up with a few crocus and the birds….and then we got a series of zero degree nights and two feet of snow! There isn’t a patch of bare ground out there at the moment.
Apparently I spoke too soon and we are heading to minus zero weather here too.
Yikes.
