I hope home builders begin to put porches back on the front of homes! So much is missed when we stay in the back yard!
So true! This house, which the photographs on the blog sort of circle around, has a number of porches; in the summer time the house, the porches, and the grounds all blend together.
Without a porch one also misses the neighbors and the day, that present ‘now’. I find the most unpleasant houses are those where one is confronted with a garage door and solid, utility door as the front entrance. Increasingly there is no front door, let alone a porch.
